Indore Woman Entrepreneur Dr Vini Jhariya Builds Child Development Ecosystem to Support Autism and ADHD Care

Women in India have been actively stepping in entrepreneurship while solving real social problems, one such inspiring example is Dr Vini Jhariya, a Clinical and Child Psychologist from Indore who shaped her professional expertise into a mission driven venture of supporting children with developmental challenges.

With over 10 years of experience in the field of psychology, Dr Jhariya is the founder of Urjasvini Child Development Center & Urjasvini Special School, which are helping families understand and deal with conditions such as autism, ADHD and learning disabilities. Through her work she has developed an organized system of therapy, education and awareness – something that many parents in India find difficult to find in one place.

Dr Jhariya’s road to entrepreneurship did not start with a business plan but a purpose. During her early years as a psychologist she observed that many parents expressed confusion when their children exhibited developmental delays or behavioural difficulties. Often times, families had to see several practitioners before receiving the proper diagnosis or support.

Seeing this gap in the system, she decided to build a center in which assessment, therapy and educational guidance would be provided under one framework. This thought further led to the establishment of the Urjasvini Child Development Center in Indore.

After doing master’s course in Psychology from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalya, Dr Jhariya continued to expand her expertise level with several specialized certifications. Her training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (RECBT), Dyslexia Therapy, Brain Gym techniques and arts-based therapeutic methods.

These skills helped her develop evidence-based and practical programs for children and their families. As her work grew, however, she realized that therapy was not sufficient. Many children also required a supportive education environment.

This realization led to the creation of Urjasvini Special School, which is working on inclusive education of children with developmental and learning challenges. The school strives to enable students to develop life skills, confidence and academic skills at an individual level.

During the last decade, Dr Jhariya has treated over 3,000 children and families. Her work is not limited to therapy sessions. She regularly conducts parent training programs and teacher workshops and awareness sessions in schools to help communities better understand conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD and learning disabilities.

By educating parents and teachers, she believes it is possible to provide children with consistent support both at home and in the classroom.

Her entrepreneurial journey is just part of a growing trend where women professionals are forming purpose-driven ventures in fields such as education, healthcare and mental health. Instead of developing a traditional business, Dr Jhariya dealt with developing a system that supported the development of children from multiple angles.

Today, her centers in Indore are working to help families go from confused to clear, by providing structured assessments, early intervention programs, and inclusive learning opportunities.

At the core of Dr Vini Jhariya’s work is a simple belief, that every child deserves to be understood, to be patient, and to be provided the right help in order to grow.
